Overview
I designed a LinkedIn ad for Nutalentz, a technical recruiting firm, to promote its offering to U.S.-based companies and managers seeking to hire offshore software developers. Nutalentz, founded by IT professionals, thrives on collaborating with top-tier engineering talent and innovative businesses, so the ad needed to convey both expertise and approachability.
Initially, the company provided reference designs with simple background colors that evoked a profession and simplicity. Based on this, I began adjusting my design, debating whether to stick with the company’s established color scheme or explore more creative possibilities. Ultimately, I chose to push the boundaries by making their logo white, giving me greater flexibility with the ad’s color palette.
Processs
Draft #1:
My first priority was to portray the company's offerings in a professional manner, making them look as corporate as possible. I strictly followed the company's colors and tried incorporating them into the advertisement.
Draft #2:
I removed the stock images and tried incorporating more software development into the advertisement to portray its purpose. I will still strictly follow the company's color palette.
Draft #3:
I recognized that Draft #2’s design felt too generic and lacked impact, making it easy to overlook as an advertisement. To address this, I proposed thinking outside the box with the design approach. My goal was to create something that stood out and conveyed a sense of calm.
Once the basic design was in place, the Nutalentz team reviewed it and provided feedback. Their requested changes included refining the title from "Hire a Software Developer" to "Hire Top Software Developers Effortlessly," which better captured the simplicity and professionalism they wanted to project. I also enhanced the design by incorporating logos of in-demand software skills—like React, Python, and Java—at the bottom of the ad.
To achieve the warm, relaxing feel the company wanted, I introduced an ombre of blue and purple, ensuring the ad remained simple while conveying a sense of calm. This design effectively balanced creativity and alignment with the brand’s vision, resulting in an appealing and purposeful ad.
